The Ghost Rockets were founded in late 2005 in Schweinfurt in the environment of the Cultural Center Stattbahnhof. All musicians gathered in numerous bands in the styles of punk, hardcore, alternative and blues, plenty of stage and studio experience. The style of TGR is difficult to class, as the band members are inspired by many different musical influences. The Sound is somewhere between rock and alternative. Many listeners have compared them with Queens of the Stone Age or Foo Fighters. A set of catchy Songs with catchy vocals, guided by driving rhythms, distorted guitars and a powerful bass.
The band is notorious for their energetic live shows. Since the band's formation, they toured throughout all parts of Germany and France`s Normandy. They have also played a lot of support shows for Bad Religion, The Gaslight Anthem, GarciaPlaysKyuss, Amplifier, Mondo Generator, Tito & Tarantula, TV on the Radio, Harmful, Lost Prophets, Black Math Horseman, Adam West, Strike Anywhere, The Draft, and many others.
